See our FacebookThese special beads change colour when exposed to sunlight, making this a fun and hands-on way to explore science while creating something unique to wear. We loved seeing everyone's colourful creations and excited faces as they watched the beads transform outdoors!
Well done, Year 1! 😊 8 Likes
They have made erupting volcanos using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, made magic milk with food colouring and washing up liquid, and created a beautiful rainbow using sweets and water.
We have been learning about liquids and solids, hot and cold as we melt ice with warm water. The preschool children created their own electrical circuit.
The children have also explored floating and sinking and what materials magnets are attracted to.
They loved making shadows using an overhead projector.
These science activities have encouraged the children’s curiosity as they have asked lots of how?, what? and why? questions. 4 Likes
